TRAIN STATION

KELETI PU.:   take bus no.7 or 173. Direction: 
BORNEMISSZA TÉR (bus stop is at the middle
of the square). Get off at TÉTÉNYI ÚT (5th stop 
after the river).Walk back underneath the 
rail bridge, turn left and it is the 3rd street 
on your right.
NYUGATI PU.:   take underground in the direction of KŐBÁNYA. 
Get off at FERENCIEK TERE. Take bus 
no.7 or 173 as above.
DÉLI PU.:   take tram no.18 or 61. Get off at 
MÓRICZ ZSIGMOND KÖRTÉR. 
Take bus no. 7 or 173, two stops. Get off 
at TÉTÉNYI ÚT as above.
KELENFOLD PU.: If you are coming from Vienna get off at Kelenföld Train Station and take tram 49 or 19 for 3 stops, get off at the Tétényi út and walk under the railway bridge, turn left and we are on the third street on the right.


BUS STATION

NÉPLIGET:  

take metro no.3, (direction ÚJPEST-KÖZPONT)
get off at FERENCIEK TERE (5 stops)
then change to bus no.7 or 173.Direction:

AIRPORT

EASIEST:  

Take airport minibus (shuttle).
Its a door to door service. (They have a desk at the airport)
3200 HUF (~12 EURO/person)

CHEAPEST:  

Take the public "airport" no.
200 bus all the way to the last stop. Change to underground, get off at FERENCIEK TERE.
Then take bus 7 or 173 as above.

Top picks, Budapest 2009
We've always loved this laid-back hostel - Budapest first! - in a colorfully painted suburbain ' villa' in the south Buda and we are happy to see more and more hostels are copying its style. The Back Pack relatively small (50 beds), but the fun spillout into a lovely garden with hammock, a yurt and Thai-style lounging platform. The upbeat attitude of the friendly, much travelled owner seems to permeate the place and the welcome is always warm...

Hostel life doesnt get much better than this laid back place, which has themed dorms, genuinely helpful owner, and a common room with movies, music, cheap bear and free internet. Reception 24 Hr...
