How to get to us

FROM THE TRAIN STATIONS

KELENFOLD TRAIN STATION

Take tram 49 or 19 and get off at the 3rd stop, Karolina út. Walk underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. The trip takes about 7 minutes. You will need 1 single transport ticket 350 Huf ( about 1 € ) or it is free to walk it takes about 15 minutes if you follow the tram line.

KELETI TRAIN STATION

Take metro 4 in the direction of Kelenfold Station, get off at Moricz Zsigmond Korter. Then take the tram 49 or 19 for 2 stop, get off at Karolina út. Walk back underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. The trip takes about 25 minutes. You will need 1 transfer ticket 530 Huf (about 1.7 €)

NYUGATI TRAIN STATION

Take metro in the direction of Kobanya-Kispest, get off at the Kalvin Ter stop. Then take tram 49 and get off at Karolina út. It is the 5th stop after crossing the river. Walk back underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. The trip takes about 30 minutes. You will need 1 transfer ticket 530 Huf ( about 1.7 € )

DÉLI TRAIN STATION

Take tram 61 or 18. Get off at Móricz Zsigmond Korter. Then take the tram 49 or 19 for 2 stop, get off at Karolina út. Walk back underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. The trip takes about 30 minutes. You will need 1 transfer ticket 530 Huf ( about 1.7 € )

 

FROM THE BUS STATIONS

NÉPLIGET BUS STATION

Take metro no.3 direction Újpest központ to Kálvin tér (4 stops) and then tram no. 49 direction Kelenföld Train Station and get off at 5th stop after the river, Karolina út. Walk back underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. You will need 1 transfer ticket 530 Huf ( about 1.7 € )

 

FROM THE AIRPORT

AIRPORT MINIBUS

Door to door service (quickest and easiest way to get to us). For prices and more information please visit their website or you will find their information/reservation desk at the airport where you collect your bags. https://www.minibud.hu/en

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Take the public airport bus no 200E all the way to the last stop Kőbánya-Kispest. Change to Metro 3, get off at Kálvin tér. Then take tram 49 and get off at Karolina út. It is the 5th stop after crossing the river. Walk back underneath the railway bridge, turn left into the Hamzsabégi út and we are on the 3rd street on the right Takács Menyhért utca. The trip takes about 60 minutes. You will need 1 single ticket for the bus 350 Huf + one transfer ticket for the metro and the tram 530 Huf. (All together 2.7 EURO)

Another option is to take the public bus no 100E which will take you directly to the center (Kálvin tér). From there you can take the tram no 49 all the way to the Hostel (stop: Karolina út). That will cost you 900 HUF + 350 HUF (single ticket) (All together 4 EURO)

PUBLIC TRANSPORT BY NIGHT

The regular day time public transport stops at 11:30pm and starts at 4:30am in between these hours there is an excellent night transport operation all around the city. The easiest to get back to the hostel by night is:

– take the bus 907 and get off at Kosztolanyi Dezso ter or Karolina út then it is a short walk to the hostel

– take the tram 6 or bus 973 to Moricz Zsigmond Ter from here it is a ten minute walk to the hostel

Please note there is 1 type of ticket for all public transport; trams, buses and metro. You will need to validate single tickets as you get on your transport.

Tickets are available at vending machines at most tram stops and at Metro stations. All machines take cash ( Huf ) and bank cards.
